Artificial intelligence — not implemented yet

Auto Threads currently offers no AI summary or multimodal processing. The implemented modes are Author Name, URL Title, and Media; Media neither downloads nor analyzes attachments. No text, image, prompt, or identifier is currently sent to Mistral.

This is not a prohibition on AI during the beta. An AI feature may launch during or after the beta once the requirements below are satisfied.

Requirements before launch

Before any activation, Auto Threads must publish an updated version of this notice and the privacy policy, enter into and review the provider’s processing terms, document transfers and retention, and test security measures.

Activation must be explicit for each server, and administrators must visibly inform members. Every member will have a priority individual opt-out that forces a non-AI title and prevents any provider call.

Text will be minimized, capped, and pseudonymized without Discord metadata. Auto Threads will retain no prompt or result. Multimodal processing will remain behind a feature flag and will launch only after an impact assessment shows that risks are controlled.
